nice room good ammenities evening meal poor breakfast very good
queing for breakfast could not get reasonable time for evening meal
Hotel perfectly located for our stay as we could walk to the secc and city centre easily (within 15 mins)
Excellent Service, Very Comfortable, Good Breakfast Selection,Super Leisure Facilities. Location is convenient for shops and entertainment venues.
The hotels immediate surroundings are unattractive derelict buildings and post industrial wasteland.
The meal was fantastic, this was from the pre-paid menu and the ordinary menu. The staff at the front desk and bar were pleasant and very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay, and if returning to Glasgow would most certainly stay again.
The parking charge, I don't think this was made clear on the website, unless I missed it. I believe that charging £100 a night this should be in the cost, or most certainly not charged for both nights. It may only have been £3 per night, not much but I thought we had free parking and this may have swayed me to stay somewhere else.
The hotel was very conveniently located for walking to City Centre, Merchant City, Central Station, and had a very close bus stop. Appreciated the pool and hot tub on the premises. The breakfast buffet was very hearty, fast, and convenient.
The restaurant hours were very limited. We often could not get food in the restaurant or bar. Also, we usually had no washcloths, or only one. I even called to ask for washcloths, and they said they didn't have any. There was significant highway noise, which was not appreciated at night. But with earplugs I was fine.
All staff very friendly. Children loved the swimming pool and the wrist bands which allowed unlimited ice cream and juices.
Service in the brasserie was very slow. There seemed to be a problem with the way the staff were organised. They were friendly but just did not seem to notice that they were taking ages to serve us.
We have stated before at this hotel it is handy for shopping and restaurants is a walk away
The size of the room, the breakfast and the spa.
Staff were very helpful and very professional no complaints at all we will be back
Excellent service right from the moment we checked in. Staff were friendly and food was great. We were there for the Duran Duran concert at the secc which is a 20min walk away and equal walking distance to the main shopping centres in Glasgow. Will be back.
Could do with more supportive pillows, but that's just a personnal suggestion.
Very good value and evening meal was lovely, especially given the price.
The rooms are a bit dated and need brightened up. They are also very hot even with the temperature dial turned down.
The secure, good value parking is a distinct advantage
The rooms have quite small windows and the windows on the 7th floor are inadequate. It felt like a warehouse conversion which had been done on the cheap! The interiro lighting did not compensate.
I liked the location which was quite close to the city centre. The staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and there is also parking at te hotel for a small charge.
I didn't like that the pool was out of use when we visited. We weren't informed when we arrived. It wasn't until we went down to use it in the morning that we were told it was out of use. Saying that, we were told that we could go to the Marriott hotel which is close by and use their pool.
the room design was nice
The location was little bit far from the center
Clean well equiped room and very pleasant staff on the reception desk.
I have moderate mobility problems and try to swim as much as possible. The pool was excellent but the disabled changing room was not quite up to the same standard as the ladies changing room and the locker was rusty and not particularly clean. We used the jacuzzi on the first morning but we were unable to do so on our second morning as the water was scalding hot. I reported it to the young lady on the reception desk in the leisure centre and although she said she would check it she said it sometimes was a bit warm first thing. I am a nurse and know what hot water feels like. This was not a wee bit warm it was dangerously hot!
